Role Overview

The Software Quality CoE Lead will establish and lead a centralized Quality Engineering function for New GCC’s digital manufacturing platforms, ensuring quality, reliability, and scalability across customer-facing SaaS platforms and internal enterprise applications.

This role is highly collaborative and sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, SaaS platforms, and Operations. The leader will coordinate testing strategy, integration validation, and release readiness across multiple engineering teams, while embedding quality into product development cadence.

This is a software-only, cloud-native role with no embedded or hardware lab responsibilities.

Quality Scope & Integration Focus

In Scope

• Customer-facing SaaS platforms (quoting, order management, dashboards, APIs)
• Internal enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, operations systems)
• Platform integrations, APIs, and end-to-end workflows (quote → order → delivery)
• Cross-team integration testing across engineering domains

Key Responsibilities

Quality CoE Strategy & Leadership

• Define and lead the Software Quality CoE strategy, aligned with’ platform and product roadmaps
• Establish standardized quality practices, testing frameworks, and governance across engineering teams. Helping define the test environment strategy; Standardizing the test tooling stack
• Act as the central owner for testing coordination and integration quality across SaaS and enterprise systems
• Build, mentor, and scale quality engineering and automation teams within the India GCC

Testing Coordination & Engineering Integration

• Coordinate quality efforts across multiple engineering squads and SaaS domains
• Own end-to-end integration testing across customer platforms, APIs, and backend systems
• Partner closely with Product Managers to validate workflows from quote to delivery
• Ensure quality considerations are embedded early during discovery, design, and PRD discussions
• Align testing scope with product priorities, risks, and operational impact

Quality Engineering & Automation

• Drive shift-left testing and continuous testing across Agile delivery cycles
• Define automation strategies for UI, API, integration, and regression testing
• Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as quality gates
• Balance speed of delivery with platform reliability and maintainability
• “data management for testing” (synthetic data, anonymisation, test data automation)

Platform, SaaS & Non-Functional Quality

• Ensure quality validation for scalability, reliability, performance, and security
• Security testing coordination
• Partner with engineering leadership to support platform health initiatives
• Support quality readiness for SaaS releases, integrations, and operational changes

Governance, Metrics & Release Readiness

• Define quality KPIs aligned with product and business outcomes (defect leakage, release stability, automation coverage)
• Establish release readiness criteria and go/no-go checkpoints
• Provide clear, data-driven quality insights to engineering and product leadership
• Advocate for sustainable engineering pace and platform quality

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

• 10–15 years in software quality, QA, or quality engineering roles
• Proven experience leading quality efforts across complex SaaS and enterprise platforms
• Strong background working alongside Product Managers and Engineering Leaders
• Experience coordinating testing across multiple teams and systems
• Prior experience setting up or scaling a Quality CoE is highly desirable

Technical & Platform Skills

• Strong expertise in test automation (UI, API, integration)
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of API-first platforms, integrations, and data workflows
• Exposure to ERP or operational systems is a plus
