Accounts Receivable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Billing & Timesheet Management
• Validate and reconcile timesheet entries from delivery and project management tools.
• Ensure accurate linkage of project hours, billing rates, and client contracts in the accounting system.
• Generate and issue client invoices based on milestones or deliverable-based schedules.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and HR to resolve timesheet discrepancies.
• Accounts Receivable Operations
• Monitor AR aging and proactively follow up on overdue payments. Process and record customer receipts in the accounting system (e.g., Xero or equivalent).
• Manage intercompany billing and ensure accurate elimination of entries.
• Support multi-currency and multi-entity receivable transactions.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare AR aging reports, cash flow projections, and collection forecasts.
• Support monthly revenue recognition (IFRS/US GAAP) and provide reports for management dashboards.
• Assist in audit schedules and reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the General Ledger (GL).
• Compliance & Process Excellence
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations (GST/VAT/WHT) and accounting principles.
• Document AR workflows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and checkpoint controls.
• Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and strong analytical/data entry skills.
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication for global stakeholder coordination.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, the ability to pick up new processes quickly, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing environment or advanced knowledge of global ERP systems.
